Come one, come all to Hollin Hill's 3rd Annual Neighborhood Turkey Trot!
Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28th, 2019.
The Fun Run starts at 9:00 a.m. The Turkey Trot starts at 9:30a.m.
WHAT: Similar to previous years there will be a 1K Fun Run around Martha’s loop and a 5K Turkey Trot through our beautiful, hilly neighborhood. Run, walk, skip or roller skate (good luck getting up Rebecca) or just come to cheer. There will be coffee, donuts, hot cider and friendly neighbors at the finish line. Feel free to bring your own drink of choice - wine, beer, gatorade, mimosas, etc.
WHO: This event is free and open to all Hollin Hills families and their visiting relatives and friends.
WHERE: Start and finish line is 2106 Martha’s Road
If you are coming by car, please park on Recard Lane to keep Martha’s as open and safe as possible for the runners. The 5K route is sort of a figure 8 this year. Halfway through it leads past the start line again so you can collect cheering support for the second leg or stop and have a donut as reward for having run a half 5K. You can find the map here: http://tiny.cc/7ditez
WHAT ELSE: Please bring your own water bottles and your own mugs for the coffee & cider. We will have some emergency cups for those who forget, but want to avoid as much single use trash as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: The running route will not be closed to cars, so please be safe and be sure to run against traffic.

“Contemporary architects tend to impose modernity
on something. There is a certain concern for history but
it’s not very deep. I understand that time has changed, we have evolved. But I don’t want to forget the beginning.
A lasting architecture has to have roots.”
